"Aliens in the Attic" - PG: When I saw this movie I really wanted to see it. Aliens in the Attic is about a group of kids who must defend their vacation home from a group of pint sized, yet armed and maybe a little bit dangerous, group of aliens. I think that this movie has got what it takes to keep the kiddies interested and give them a good time. The cast looks pretty good too. If you want to take your kids to Aliens in the Attic it will hit the screen on July 31.
"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" - G: You pretty much can't go wrong with a G rated movie and this one is based on a classic children's book that many have grown up reading. This animated movie is about a town that has food falling from the sky like rain. If you are looking for a safe and totally appropriate kids movie then Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is the one you are looking for. You can catch this film on September 18.
"Astro Boy": Here is another animated film that your kids are sure to love. Set in the future a young robot boy (Astro Boy) is created by a scientist. The scientist (Nicholas Cage) has lost his son and Astro Boy is supposed to be his surrogate. When Astro Boy realizes he cannot replace the scientist's lost son he sets out for an adventure. Astro Boy will be in theaters September 23.
"Where the Wild Things Are" - PG: This movie was also based on a very popular children's book, however I must have missed out on it during my childhood. It chronicles a young boy, Max, and his adventures with lovable creatures in a make believe jungle. Where the Wild Things Are is a movie that both parents and kids can attend together and enjoy. It comes out October 16 of this year.
"A Christmas Carol": In late fall of 2009 Disney will release its 3-D motion picture A Christmas Carol. Sure we all know the story, but I'd bet fans have never seen it like this. This Disney movie stars Jim Carey and Gary Oldman playing 8 different characters. There are also other great actors to round out the cast. If you are looking to celebrate Christmas early then you can catch this movie in theaters on November 6.
