While there are many cheap hotels in Bangkok, Thailand, if you're staying for a week or longer it often makes more sense to stay in a vacation apartment. There are thousands of apartment buildings throughout the city that will rent holiday apartments for a week or longer, and at rates far cheaper than a comparable hotel room. Before you book a Bangkok hotel room, check out these wonderful vacation apartments. They're three of the best in Bangkok.
Poonchock Mansion (PMansion) - If you'd like to stay in the northern part of Bangkok near the world-famous Chatuchak Weekend Market and close to the MRT underground, BTS skytrain and Central Ladprao mall, then Poonchock Mansion is a wonderful place for a holiday rental apartment.
At Poonchock, although apartments are a little old-fashioned, they're very spacious, extremely clean and well-taken care of, and are administered by some of the nicest staff in Bangkok. Rooms vary in size, but in a basic studio apartment you'll get an ensuite bath with shower and tub, TV with satellite, a refrigerator, hot water jug, small sitting area and a dining table. Larger rooms also have a microwave and a small kitchenette. All rooms have a private balcony. In-room Wi-Fi internet is available for a 200 baht ($6.50) fee per week or 500 baht ($16.30) for a month.
The apartment building also has a laundry service, washing machines, and a convenience store. It's also three blocks from Major Ratchayothin with its movie theaters, bowling alley, restaurants, cafes and supermarket and a 10 minute walk from Central Ladprao mall.
Room rates for a 35 sqm studio apartment begin at 7,000 baht ($233) for a month, or just $7.77 per night. Or, if you just want to stay a few nights, room rates begin at $20 a night.

With every type of holiday rental apartment -- small studios to a presidential suite -- apartments include fully-equipped kitchenettes, en suite baths, satellite TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet (small fee) and satellite television. Complimentary coffee and tea, and free use of the gym are included in the rate.
PR Place has maid services and a laundry service, there's a convenience store a block away, and many of Bangkok's largest malls, best restaurants and cafes, and entertainment and business centers are within a 15 minute walking distance. The apartment building is also right next to the airport link train station, so extremely convenient for vacationers coming in from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
PR Place's holiday rental fees are amazingly cheap - as low as 12,000 baht per month ($400) for a one month stay.
