Pin the Arrow on the Cupid
To set up this kids' Valentine's Day game, draw a simple cupid on a large piece of paper or print out a free picture of a cupid online. Preferably, you should laminate the cupid picture to make it more durable. Make an arrow out of paper, laminate it and attach reusable adhesive putty to the back. Blindfold a child and place the arrow in his hand. Spin him gently, then instruct him to find the cupid and attach the arrow to his body. Each child can attempt to pin the arrow on the cupid in this Valentine's Day party game. The child who gets the arrow closest to the cupid's bow wins a small prize.
Heart Bingo
Print out these free Valentine's Day Heart Bingo cards on KidsDomain.com. You may need to print out multiple pages to have enough Bingo cards for each child. Laminate some red construction paper, then cut some heart shaped Bingo markers from the paper. Also print out this free page of Bingo numbers. Cut the numbers apart and place them in a bowl. Give each child a Bingo card and a supply of heart markers. Tell the kids what the Bingo rules are and decide whether they are playing for blackout, five spaces in a row across, down or diagonal. Then pick a number from the bowl and call it out. Continue selecting numbers and calling them out until there is a winner for the game.
Charades
Think of some Valentine's Day themed words and phrases and write them down on pieces of paper. For example, you could write, "Cupid's Arrow," "Hearts," "Love," "Roses" or "Chocolate." The words or phrases could also be the titles of songs, books, movies or TV shows. Tell the kids the rules of the game of Charades. Then place the slips of paper in a bowl and have the kids choose one at random to act out in front of the other party guests.
Scavenger Hunt
Hide some Valentine's Day themed objects around the room. This could include heart shaped objects, red and pink objects, silk flowers, pieces of candy, Valentine's Day party favors and cupid figurines. Type up a list of the objects you hid on your computer and print out one copy for each child. On Valentine's Day, divide the kids into two teams. Hand out the Scavenger Hunt lists to the kids and instruct them to find the items. Each child on the team that finds the most items wins a prize. Also let the kids keep any candy that they find while playing this Valentine's Day game.
Bean Bag Toss
Cut out a large heart target from laminated red construction paper. Attach the heart to a spot on the floor. Then make or buy some heart-shaped bean bags. Also place a line of red tape 6 to 9 feet away from the target. Instruct each child to stand behind the line and try to hit the heart with the bean bags. Have small prizes ready for kids who successfully hit the target while playing this game.
