Best Valentine's Day Surprises for Her

Mike C.
Valentine's Day brings out the romantic sides of many people. Express your love for your special lady with some surprises she'll love.

Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride. Many towns have horse-drawn carriage rides through the year. These can be so romantic! She will feel like Cinderella! Have a lovely dinner then walk her to the carriage. Let this be a surprise; don't tell her about it beforehand. If you're in a cold climate, make sure you bring a blanket to stay warm and cuddle. Enjoy the beauty around you.

Surprise her with a song or poem just for her. So you and / or your special lady are the creative type. Write her a poem or a song just for her. Have your words reveal your favorite qualities in her and flatter her. Your words will illustrate how much you love her.

Have dinner at a fondue restaurant. Maybe it's just me, but something about fondue and Valentine's Day just goes together. Make reservations way ahead of time for this. Most good restaurants are booked and busy for Valentine's so you want to make sure you can get in. You and your special lady can relax on Valentine's Day while being waited on and dipping foods in a four-course, pleasant environment.

Surprise her with a gift just for her. Let's say your special lady has a certain hobby she is highly involved in. Maybe she collects, maybe she's a scrap booker, maybe she's really into art. Whatever the case, you can surprise her on Valentine's Day with a unique gift specifically reflecting her cherished hobby. Give your art enthusiast a precious painting. Your tennis player could always use more tennis balls or a new racket. You get the drift. She will be surprised that you took the time to buy her something that she is so interested in.

Pop the question. What better day of the year to pop the question to your special lady than on Valentine's Day? Getting engaged deserves a romantic night. Wine and dine her, then at the right moment, ask her to be your sidekick forever. She may suspect it, but don't hint at the engagement at all! Take her to a romantic place, like a rooftop or lighted gardens, or this could be done on the carriage ride mentioned above. Be sincere and practice what you're going to say. This moment will be with your forever.
