Best Vegan Clothing for Fall - Eco-friendly Fashion

Charley A. Prescott
If you are curious about the meaning of vegan fashion, it includes items that are made using cruelty-free methods. Being a true vegan extends beyond the foods you put in your mouth -- it is truly a lifestyle. But an eco-friendly lifestyle, does not mean that you are destined to an existence that includes lackluster apparel. In recent years, environmentally friendly clothing has become much easier to find both online, and in retail stores around the world. How do you know which retailers are the best? If you're interested in discovering the hottest Fall fashion labels in vegan clothing, check out our favorites.

Vaute Couture. Who are they? One of the hottest labels we've seen in a long time. We love this line, because it proves that sustainable fashion for women can still be sexy and stylish. According to Oprah.com, -- "Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart is the founder of Vaute Couture, a line of vegan coats and apparel that have been purchased by Alicia Silverstone, Emily Deschanel, Ally Sheedy and Ginnifer Goodwin. The fall-winter 2010 line debuted at New York City Fashion Week, featuring down alternative coats, the first vegan and eco-conscious insulated coat line."

Coming from a small independent line, a Vaute Couture coat will cost a pretty penny, but it is well worth it. For this company -- people, the environment and animals are all a part of the equation. We applaud a company that makes a decision to not cut corners financially, because the quality of its product would ultimately suffer.

On the website for Vaute Couture the founder states -- "I think about wowing the girl who can have ANY coat she wants, and hopefully showing that considering others is not about sacrifices." This line definitely has the wow factor in terms of aesthetic appeal, and you can be confident in the knowledge that they are using eco-conscious vegan fabrics.

Olsen Haus. Based in New York, Olsen Haus is a company that creates 100% vegan shoes! We're talking about fabulous styles, of trendy flats and chic heels -- that would make any girly girl want to opt for a bit of sustainable style in her Fall wardrobe this season.

Green Label. Organic cotton shirts definitely feel incredible, and we love the smart styles at Green Label Organic. A company that offers sustainable apparel made in the USA.

Excellent resource for veggies. As a veg, I am always on the look out for decent looking apparel that is also cruelty free. Excellent article, Charley!
