(1) Charleston - Wild Dunes
Wild Dunes is a full-service wedding resort located in Charleston. From small families to large families, Wild Dunes has plenty room for all your guests and can help you fully plan your wedding and reception. The resort allows you to have your ceremony in their Sweetgrass Pavilion or on the Grand Pavilion. The Sweetgrass Pavilion is a 300-350 person room in the resort that is 10,000 square feet in size. If you are worried about the unpredictable showers, the Sweetgrass Pavilion is a great choice. The Grand Pavilion is by the ocean and has a large white outdoor, covered gazebo and in-ground pool. The Grand Pavilion area has breathtaking views of the beach! For a warm, sunny wedding, the Grand Pavilion would be very unforgettable and romantic for you and your guests. Wild Dunes recommends that you start booking with them a year in advance of your wedding.
(2) Hilton Head - Country Club of Hilton Head
The Country Club of Hilton Head makes an upscale, relaxing and beautiful ceremony site. In order to have your wedding at this country club you have to be a club member or you must know a club member who can sponsor you. If you get a sponsor, prices go up. (3) Bluffton - Palmetto Bluff Resort
Imagine your wedding with oak trees and the May River as your backdrop - simply beautiful. If you rather have an indoor wedding, their 80-person Waterside Chapel also sits by the May River so you and your guests can still enjoy the views and take amazing wedding pictures. If you also decide to have your reception indoors, there is the River House which has a ballroom and large porches. You can view their entire wedding brochure here.
(4) Myrtle Beach - Myrtle Beach Wedding Chapel
On a budget? The Myrtle Beach Wedding Chapel offers you an affordable candlelit wedding without sacrificing ALL of the typical elegance and romance of ceremonies. The Chapel itself is small and can accommodate 12 guests. You can check out their packages here.
(5) Moore - Tyger Pines
Do you and your significant other love horses? Would you love a wedding surrounded by beautiful rare Arabians? Tyger Pines in Moore is indeed a horse farm and popular wedding site for many couples. Picture the bride arriving at the alter on a gorgeous white Egyptian Arabian. The farm land is clean and well taken care of - which, in addition to the horses, makes for a storybook wedding for sure.
(6) Anderson - Wilhite House
The Colonial Wilhite House in Anderson was built in 1858 by Dr. Philip Wilhite and has been owned by only five people. The two-story mansion allows you to have your wedding outdoors or indoors. The same goes for your reception. To view the Wilhite House's wedding packages, click here.
(7) Summerville - Woodlands Resort
Woodlands Resort is surrounded by palm trees, oak trees, and history! This Resort was also named #2 Hotel in the United States and Canada! The resort has 42 acres of southern lawns and nature in which to host your wedding. The Pavilion is the most popular reception room for weddings. It holds 200 guests, and if that's not enough, there are two porches on each side of the Pavilion allowing extra seating for 88 more guests. The Woodlands Resort reception menu can be viewed here.
(8) Charleston - Magnolia Plantation
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is the most beautiful and colorful site for your outdoor wedding. They have three areas to choose from: the Carriage House overlooking the Ashley River, the Veranda on an open lawn, and the Conservatory which has a large deck that overlooks a pond and bridge.
