Best Vocabulary Enhancing Show

Hemchan Narsayah
You may think you need your children to watch some brain cracking show that is serious and fully school related. But no! There is a better way out.

Turn to the classic Spongebob Squarepants.

Mr. Squarepants is known to be the noisy, giggly sponge in Bikini Bottom with the starfish friend Patrick. But have you ever noticed how complicated and excessive the character's vocabulary use is?

Take for instance, Plankton's favorite meal: "Holographic Meatloaf" Where else do your kids get to hear the word holographic? Or what about "uranium" in the F-U-N episode? Here, your children get to learn not only what friends are, but they also learn about a substance in the Periodic Table! Squidward often refers to spongebob as the "bane" of his existence. In this episode, your children will actually have to think and decipher based on context clues what Squidward could possible mean.

So next time you need to help your children learn better etiquette and vocabulary, don't search for those boring shows. Turn to the sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea and insinuate your kids with a better, non-obvious way of learning.
