Erin Morris
Fourth of July is just around the corner. It's the holiday filled with fun in the sun, hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, sparklers, and fireworks. For those having an all out celebration this Fourth of July, here are some great vodka inspired holiday drinks that will surly get your guests in the red, white and blue spirit.

Yankee Doodle

The Fourth of July

This is great for those looking for a quick mixer for the fourth! Bottoms up!

The Recipe:
Layer in order as listed starting with the Grenadine on the bottom.
½ shot Grenadine
1/3 shot Vodka
1/3 shot Blue Curacao

Most of these drinks involve UV Vodka. The only reason these recipes involve this particular brand is because the vodka is actually colored. You can substitute any flavor vodka for these mixtures, but you will not get the red or blue color that UV vodka provides. If you substitute your brand of vodka, I suggest using grenadine to turn your drinks red, or use a touch of red or blue food coloring to make your drinks more festive!

If you're entertaining guests this Fourth of July, set up a whole bar station to make your drinks even more fun. Make pitchers or punch bowls of the mixtures and decorate the table with your favorite Fourth of July decorations to make your drink station truly unique. I hope you all enjoy these vodka based drinks and have a great Fourth of July!
