Best Walt Disney World Dining Options for Thanksgiving 2007

If you're planning to spend Thanksgiving with Mickey and the gang this holiday season, you'll need to book a table at some of the premium spots around the parks. Thanksgiving meal specials run throughout Thanksgiving Day at Walt Disney World, with turkey feasts and buffets of enormous proportions. You'll find traditional Thanksgiving meals with the Disney touch--don't be surprised to find Mickey-shaped cookies, pumpkin pie with Disney logos, and turkey carved into interesting shapes. If you need to find a seat at one of the Walt Disney World restaurants, here are some of the best Thanksgiving meal options available in 2007:

Magic Kingdom

You'll find the cast of characters dressed in Thanksgiving outfits throughout the park, so be sure to snap some pictures when you catch them! Cinderella's Royal Table features a pre-plated Thanksgiving menu, featuring carved turkey, roasted mashed potatoes, traditional gravy, and classic pumpkin pie. Book a table for lunch or dinner for a complete offering of a turkey feast. Head to the Liberty Tree Tavern for a New England inspired feast including with fresh dinner rolls, green beans, and traditional pumpkin pie. The Crystal Palace offers a buffet instead, with all the Thanksgiving favorites and a rich lineup of desserts. If you prefer Thanksgiving the old-Italian way, make a reservation at Tony's Town Square. Here you'll enjoy oven roasted turkey, marsala mushroom gravy, and their classic chive mashed potatoes.

Epcot

Though the Epcot Food and Wine festival is drawing to a close, there's still plenty of specialty dining available. The Thanksgiving menu at Garden Grill is not-to-be missed. A gourmet food lover's delight, this year features warm cluster bread with honey butter, Flank Steak with a Mushroom Cabernet gravy, Fried Catfish, and Yukon Gold Mash Potatoes. Save room for dessert--your choice of Apple crisp or pumpkin pie awaits!

Make your way to the Biergarten for a Thanksgiving classics including turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes�â'¬"all available in their classic buffet. At the Coral Reef, the usual seafood medley turns to roast turkey and stuffing, classic cranberry sauce, and whipped mashed potatoes.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Disney's Animal Kingdom lodge is the place to go for Thanksgiving buffets and culinary delights from the world over. Head to Jiko--The Cooking Place for a rich selection of South African flatbreads, Portuguese-inspired appetizers, and world-class desserts that have won awards at many a food show. Boma restaurant will also offer a regular buffet with Thanksgiving items; here you'll find rich desserts and appetizers, plenty of roasted turkey, and a lineup of fresh baked treats throughout the day.

    Of course, if you are thinking about it now, you'll be too late for most restaurants. Dining can be booked 6 months ahead at Walt Disney World.
