Best Way to Find Local Auto Body Shops Near Your Location!

If you've ever banged up your car one way or another, you know it can be frustrating when trying to find auto body shops to repair the damages. I got tired of trying to use (the quite terrible) superpages.com to find businesses. Gee, that makes me sound like a frequent car crasher, doesn't it? Let's pretend that was never said! Anyway, I did a little bit of research, and stumbled upon a pretty nifty little web site that is tailored to assisting you in finding auto body shops nearby!

First, open your web browser, and navigate to http://find.mapmuse.com/interest/autobody. Scroll down to see a very basic black and white outline of the United States. Beneath it lies a section that is labeled "More Search Options". You will notice there are three ways to search locations of auto body shops.

1. The first way is to simply typing the location in the search field. Examples would be simply by typing in the zip code, city and state, or just the state.

2. The Second way is to choose a state from the middle drop down menu, which is admittedly redundant, since you can just type in the state in the box above. It's nice to have the options though!

3. The final way is to choose a major city from a predefined list of major cities ranging in all different states, listed in the bottom drop down menu.

Once you have either made a selection from one of the drop down menus, or typed a location in the search, click on the "Go" button that resides next to the search method you chose to use.

Oh the next page, you'll notice that there is a red marker to mark the location you chose. It looks sort of like an upside down rain drop, but colored red. Then, you should see surrounding icons, black squares with a white letter A on them. Those icons are the auto shops nearby the location you selected.

To find more information about the auto body shop of choice, hover your mouse arrow over the A icon. A bubble should appear, showing you the address. For contact information, click on the "More Details" link to view more details about the auto body shop.
