Best Ways to Make Money in WoW

Its funny how, even in a virtual world, there is a need for a persistent economic system that is used by patrons of the game? This is despite the economic collapse happening in the real world markets. Well, this is exactly the case with what is happening in the online game World of Warcraft. In the game, money can be used in a number of ways that are similar to real life exchanges, such as buying equipment and supplies. There is a supply and demand model also in the game, mainly set by the market forces of the players involved. With this article we're going to go over some of the quickest ways to accumulate money in the game. Some of these methods will require a certain character level, or class but all can be preformed in some way or another.

Harvesting: As a low level player it can be hard to get yourself a solid income flow early in the game, presuming of course you don't have the aid of a clan member or an alternate account. Because of this you should look into harvesting and mining. Anything that you kill will drop items to you and it would be wise to sell these items off for cash. 'Small Eggs' and 'Stringy Wolf Meat' are good items to focus on harvesting at the beginning. Selling any other loot at the auction house or to vendors will also net money

Mining: This is another good early source of cash in the game. It gets a little redundant over time but it can pay for some nice beginner upgrades. Simply level up your mining skill (needs to be apprentice level at minimum) and head out to the copper fields.

Lock Picking: Rogues have the ability to open lock boxes and pickpocket strangers. If you're at level sixteen, then odds approve in your favor even more. Better yet selling your services to others is the most beneficial. Opening a lock for others can net you a couple gold pieces or a handful of silver.

Portal Creation: Mages and Warlocks have the ability to transport people to far off lands by creating a portal. Like a Rogue, this skill can be sold as a service to other players for small bit of gold or a handful of silver.

Other Trade Skills: Being an entrepreneur really pays off in World of Warcraft. Other skills that can be sold as services include: blacksmith, alchemist, miner, herbalist, and skinning.

Trading: Even in a game like World of Warcraft there is the concept of speculation. While there are no actual stock markets to speak of, the option of buying items at a low price and selling them for a higher price is alive and well in the game.

These are the more basic of ways to make money in World of Warcraft but they're also some of the best. Remember to use the auction house as a market place and research the supply and demand of the many items in the game because if you find a deal on these items they can easily be resold for more. Good luck choosing a profession for your WoW character making that virtual fortune.
