The city of Yuma is located in southwestern Arizona on the Colorado River which is the border between Yuma, Arizona and California to the north and Mexico to the west. Some 90,000 people live in the city proper and about 195,000 live in the Yuma metropolitan area. Due to its fantastic sunny climate another 70,000 people live in Yuma during the winter months and another 300,000 tourists visit the city each winter.
