Best Wedding Advice

Everyone Has Some Little Wedding Tip.

As soon as you announce you have found your lifetime partner, the wedding advice will soon follow. Take it for what it is worth and have a great wedding.

My first advice came from my college friends. If I took their advice, I would have had their wedding, not mine. Their ideas were impressive, inspiring, quaint and quite lovely and so were there weddings.

My Dad pleaded, "Please just elope, now." He was certainly thinking about his summer trip to Hawaii with the alumni group. Dad's first talking points with my petrified significant other was that he did not want me to return home, but if hubby found the need to beat me, Dad would rather hubby send me home.

My Mom just cried.

When my daughter married, I probably received some of the best advice from her soon to be mother-in-law. Imagine a New York Italian diva giving a true southern bell advice on parties and especially weddings. She told me to hire professionals and let them do their jobs. The "not-so Steel Magnolia" wedding was gorgeous and perfect, and I was a very proud mother-of-the-bride. The staff and other hired personnel worked their parts with precision. I never asked a question, nor did I have a concern. Of course, the USA weight lifting team brought the check to me. Not really, hubby and I had planned for a beautiful wedding for our daughter and son-in-law. Who new the "Diva" could be so right. Our families are close friends.

My Mom just cried, again.

Without a doubt, the best advice was from the Christian Bible in The New Testament, King James Version, 2nd Corinthians 6:14. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Truer words were never spoken.

I have since heard many sermons on this subject, and I know the importance of selecting a life partner that shares your values. Your spiritual tolerance will serve you well with weddings, children, finances and illnesses. Start with "equally yoked" and best wishes for a fabulous wedding.
