Best Wedding Reception Halls in Memphis

Summer coming up and that means lots of people are planning weddings and making all the arrangements for as lovely a reception as possible. There's usually the option of having the reception in a gathering room of the church if it's large enough. Some people who are members of local country clubs will chose those as venues for very special events like a daughter's wedding reception. For many people, this will be a natural choice. Try to ask yourself what would accommodate the guests in the best way. Is there going to be enough parking? Will guests from out of town be to easily get to their hotel rooms? Do you want a lively, festive reception or something that's more intimate and romantic? Sometimes a friend or other family member's large home is a good choice if the wedding party is small. The Cannon Center for the Performing Arts was completed in 2003 and is quite impressive. Being the lovely home to the Memphis Symphony, it would lend a sophisticated atmosphere to any reception. With a gallery setting and its location downtown on the River, this venue couldn't be any more appropriate for the festivities to follow a romantic wedding. Clients must use the Marriott Hotel caterer for this venue however. There is a room with a full view of the Mississippi River and another overlooking the elegant Cannon Center lobby. You have a choice of 28,000 sq. ft. of ballroom space to choose from. One advantage is that out-of-towners can stay at any one of the nearby downtown hotels.

The Memphis Botanic Gardens would have to be one of my all-time favorites for a wedding reception. The romantic formal garden setting among beautiful trees and flowers is like having a backdrop of nature as your own floral display. This is a beautiful building where guests will be surrounded with statuary, wonderful art work and large glass windows looking out into the park and gardens. The entire facility is beautiful and the parking is ample for many guests.

The Beethoven Club is a perfect setting for a reception that will be romantic and old-fashioned. The historic Queen Anne Cottage at the corner of McLean and Peabody will offer an atmosphere of tasteful elegance to any reception. This is the perfect venue for traditionalist who love old-fashioned elegance and intimacy It will accommodate up to 200 for a standing reception. There are some additional fees for setup and take-down, so call them to get the full prices for everything. Then go visit and see if this is the place for you.

Bonne Terre has endeared itself in the hearts of all who' ve visited this beautiful bed and breakfast in Nesbit, Mississippi. Just a few miles south of Memphis, it's located in a romantic country setting with a lake and beautiful shrubs and trees all around. Any reception here would not only lend a pastoral feel, but the romantic atmosphere of this old-fashioned rural getaway would also appeal to the guests. Out-of-town guests could stay over the night and not even have to worry about driving back to Memphis. There's reception space for up to 300 with weddings on the grounds, in the gazebo and inside the chapel. They ask that you call for prices.
