2. Ice Sports Forum in Brandon, just a short drive from Tampa offers public ice skating for those who have always wanted to try it. Ice skating is a great way to get out there and exercise but keep out of the chilly cold outside. It's also a good chance for families to spend time together. In addition for public skating they also offer ice skating lessons and even hockey lessons for those who are interested. The Ice Sports Forum is located at 10222 Elizabeth Place and they can be reached via telephone at: (813) 684-7825 . Their public ice skating admission is priced at $6.99 per person with a skate rental of $3.29. 3. Children's Museum of Tampa is another great place to visit during the cold winter months. The Children's Museum of Tampa has several different activities including fun "jobs" for older kids such as a firehouse where they will learn all about staying safe, and even a McDonalds where they can practice serving people. There are also lots of activities for younger children and toddlers including special kid-friendly exhibits. Infants under one year of age are admitted free here and admission for children and adults is only $5. They also offer several different activities throughout the year such as Halloween events and Christmas events that children and adults will both enjoy.
