Best Winter and Christmas Beer and Where to Buy it Online

Looking for holiday-themed Christmas gift ideas for guys? Why don't you try some seasonal Christmas beer? The winter and Christmas beer on this list is great because many of the selections can be bought online by the bottle, allowing you to make your own winter and Christmas beer sampler. I've selected some winter and Christmas beer that you can buy online, but for the states in the U.S. where you can't do this, I've also selected some Christmas beer and winter beer that you should be able to find in stores. So check out all the amazing Christmas and winter beer on this list, and look for the link in this article for the online stores where you can purchase many of these selections by the bottle:

Ridgeway Santa's Butt Winter Porter - This is one of my favorite winter and Christmas beer selections because of the silly name and goofy (and controversial) label. It's a very rich beer with caramel and coffee flavors, a hint of burnt vanilla, and some cherry tobacco undertones. I couldn't find this Christmas beer online, so just be sure to watch for it in stores that start stocking winter beer around this time of the year.

Sam Adam's Winter Lager - This is a winter beer with subtle spices like ginger, cinnamon, and orange peel. It's a bit sweet and a bit spicy, with some caramel, nutty flavors and a pretty good dose of cinnamon. It's a winter beer that's very easy to drink, and you should be able to find this one pretty easily at local stores around Christmas. And for other Sam Adams Christmas beer, try the Cranberry Lambic, a fruity, slightly sour wheat beer, and Sam Adams Holiday Porter, a perfect Christmas beer with caramel, toffee, coffee, and dark chocolate notes.

Bison Organic Gingerbread Ale - This is a Christmas beer on this list that can be found here at BottleTrek.com, where you will also be able to find many more of the seasonal winter beers listed here. This one is meant to be gingerbread flavored, with added cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to create the enticing smell of freshly-baked gingerbread. It's a great organic winter beer, but if you want to take it for a test drive, you can buy just one bottle of it at BottleTrek along with five other single bottles of different beers (you have to buy at least six per order). So if you're looking for great Christmas gift ideas for beer lovers, try creating a beer sampler with this unique winter beer and some of the other great Christmas beers listed here.

Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale - This isn't as much of a winter and Christmas beer as it is a fall beer, but for anyone that loves pumpkin pie around Christmastime, they've got to try a swig of this festive ale, which should be pretty easy to find at stores. It's full of pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg flavor, and would go perfectly with a slice of pumpkin pie. But if it's not your favorite pumpkin ale, you can find a few different other kinds at BottleTrek and other online stores.

BridgePort Ebenezer Ale - This winter warmer has some delicious fruity and spicy flavors, including plum, citrus, and herbs. So don't be a Scrooge; try a bottle!

Golden Valley Tannen Bomb - This is a strong, warming winter ale with a nice malt, caramel, and roasted brown sugar flavor. I absolutely love the unique Christmas name, and I think any beer lover would enjoy this smooth and satisfying Christmas beer.

Cascade Lakes Santa's Little Helper - This is another crisp winter beer with a perfect Christmas name. It's a bready, spicy, full-flavored beer with notes of coffee, molasses, and a touch of bitter pepper. It'll definitely help tired Santas get through Christmas night!

Anchor Christmas Ale - You can find this spectacular Christmas beer here at beeronthewall.com. It's a creamy, malty, chocolatey beer with some dark fruit notes and a bit of holiday spices like cinnamon and clove. If you're looking for a perfect Christmas beer, this one is highly recommended.

So if you're looking for a good way to spread holiday cheer, have a mug of some of this good Christmas beer! And all of these great Christmas and winter brews aren't just great for beating the holiday blues, they make perfect Christmas gift ideas for beer lovers, too.
