One of the joys of living in Houston is the variety available in a sports bar since they may serve everything from shots to fine wine and show every sport from soccer to tennis. The hard part is finding out what are the best places to enjoy your favorite sport. With the World Cup 2010 soccer fans in Houston are looking for the best places to go and those in the know choose from these.

Best Places to Watch Soccer and World Cup Action in Houston, Texas

Voted best place to watch futbol by Houston Press The Richmond Arms Pub offers a beer list, wine list, daily specials, lunches, dinners, happy hours, quiz nights and their website features the World Cup games schedule and those available for viewing. World Cup games will be shown on the big screens inside, on the patio or even in tents in the parking lot. Shuttle service is available from parking behind the pub and valet parking is also available during big games. There is a 10.00 cover for the World Cup 2010 games but it includes two pints while you are watching. Also note no minors over 21 are permitted on big match days. A full menu is available with everything from appetizers to pizza and entrees.

I agree with this Houston area contributor that two other great spots to watch soccer in Houston is Lucky's Pub and Big John's Sports Bar and Grill.

Neighborhood joints are among my favorites, so I enjoy watching soccer at places like Tobin's, or Mike's Ultimate Sports Bar and Grill.

    There's this sports bar in Tomball bout south east of Houston that I've gone to many times. I think It's a chain of Woodrows (can't reember, it's been so long). Anyway, they had a slogan that is just hilarious, "If it were any bigger it would be illegal." I have a t-shirt somewhere. If I find it, I will post it for you.
