Better Days

Bethany Gill
She walks into the darkened club
Her eyes they penetrate
Through the darkness she sees her goal
But finds she's come to late
She saunters toward the dark figure
Thoughts running through her mind
How will she ever get him back
For what he's done this time?
Her anger grows within her soul
Seeing the other girl
What does she have that's so special
What makes her such a jewel?
They look so happy, so content
But she's left all alone
Life doesn't seem so fair to her
It's left her in the cold
She slowly walks away from him
A longing glance she takes
Throws the picture out of her mind
And waits for better days.
