Betty Crocker's Premium Muffin & Quick Bread Mix Review

I absolutely love banana nut bread so when I saw Betty Crocker's Premium Muffin & Quick Bread Mix in the corner of my eye at Food Lion I had to take a look at it. I thought to myself that I can make banana nut bread easily and quickly and in the form of muffins. I was very pleased to find out that the only ingredients needed were the muffin mix, 3/4 cup milk, 3/4 cup vegetable oil, and two eggs. The price wasn't too bad either especially since I had a coupon for it in my trusty old coupon folder. The box described it as quick and easy and yes this is very true. You simply just mix all the ingredients together, scoop them into the muffin pan, and in 15-20 minutes you have muffins! Clean up is very easy especially if you use paper muffin cups like I did. If you don't have paper muffin cups on hand make sure you spray some cooking spray on the pan first.

The muffins came out tasting fantastic. They were big, moist, and very flavorful. Also, the aroma was especially enticing. There are just the right amount of nuts. These would make a nice addition to a child's lunch box or even an adults lunchbox. Everyone in my family loved these muffins. You can also take these to the park for a sweet addition to your picnic. These muffins are sure to be a hit at your next potluck dinner as well. There is a recipe on the box that you can utilize if you would prefer to make Banana Nut Bread instead of the muffins.

I am trying to make wiser food choices so I was glad when I read that each prepared muffin has 210 calories. Each muffin also provides iron, thiamin, calcium, fiber, and more. What a yummy way to get extra nutrients! It does have cholesterol, but you can just watch your cholesterol intake for the rest of the day and be ok. I ate two muffins with milk for breakfast and it was quite filling. These would also taste great eaten with orange juice, hot tea, or coffee. The possibilities are endless.

Overall I really enjoyed preparing and eating these muffins and will be making them again as well as recommending them to everyone I know. So the next time you're looking for a healthy snack, head to the grocery store and pick up a box of this muffin mix and you won't be disappointed!
