Betty White: America's Most Trustworthy Celebrity

Betty White has long been considered a trustworthy celebrity who made fans feel like they were watching their own grandmother. Recently, Betty White's down-to-earth appeal was made official by a Reuters poll that branded her the "most trustworthy celebrity." According to the poll, White is a best bet for marketers and advertisers wanting to promote a brand.

With an 86 percent favorable rating, Betty White beat out several other highly trusted stars, including Sandra Bullock, Clint Eastwood, Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington and Kate Middleton. Few people would question this adorable celeb's popularity, but it does come as a surprise that even 14 percent of voters would find Betty White "unfavorable."

On the other end of the poll were celebrity train-wrecks Charlie Sheen and Paris Hilton. According to the Reuters poll, both celebs are terrible choices for marketing brands, with 54 percent of voters saying they would avoid any brand endorsed by Sheen or Hilton. And after all the controversy these two have generated, it is hard to blame voters for their negative outlook.
