BETWEEN LOVE & a HARD PLACE Wrapped!

It was a great day on January 3^rd, 2010 as Unique Productions completed principal photography on their first feature length film BETWEEN LOVE & A HARD PLACE, which is produced by Unique Be'Ans and written and directed by Regina Wells (and based on her original stage play) and co-directed by Brent Brooks. The production went into principal photography in mid-December and finished its 16 day production schedule on time. The production was filmed on location in Carrollton, Georgia and stars Bern Nadette Stanis of t.v.'s Good Times and gospel singer/song writer Canton Jones, in addition to such other Georgia actors as Nina Nicole, Irone Singleton, and Kaira Akita.

The plot of the film concerns two brothers (Jones & Singleton) whose home lives are in shambles due to their neglect to their families and spiritual faith due in part by an overzealous mother (Stanis) and a past with an abusive father that has marked them for life. Only through faith can these two brothers learn to overcome their familial hardships and unite their families and faith.

Base of operations for the film was A Place Of Refuge in Carrollton, Georgia but it was filmed in and around the city, home to director Wells, who staged the original stage production at the church (among other stage plays). BETWEEN LOVE & A HARD PLACE is an independent film production filmed on HD. The crew of the film includes Randy Stewart (director of photography), Byron Erwin (art director & editor), and Brooks (co-producer), among others.

Now that principal photography is complete, the film will now go into post-production where it is hoped that the film will be complete by April of this year.
