Beverly Hills Beauty Salon Busted: Chez Gabriela Studio Accused of Credit Card Fraud
Jennifer Aniston Says It's "Not Cool" to Be Cheated by Chez Gabriela Owner
It's not easy being famous. We all look to the stars and think their lives are so perfect. However, lurking around every corner is someone who wants something from them. Around every corner is someone who wants to become rich, or famous, or both just for an association with them.
Beauticians and hair stylists should respect their customers - both their privacy and their finances. They should be some of the most trusted confidantes that a woman can have. Oh come on - you've been there. When you sit down in that beauty chair all your deepest secrets seem to flow out with every snip of the scissors. When you plop out your credit card the last thing you think is that they will keep the number and ring up phony charges.
Unfortunately, that's the boat that Liv Tyler and Loree Rodkin are in. Other A-listers such as Cher, Jennifer Aniston, and Anne Hathaway have to now painstakingly check their cards to ensure they aren't victims of the alleged fraud, either.
Jennifer Aniston spoke out about Chez Gabriela. Without going in to detail, she indicated that she hasn't been there in five years after an "unfortunate" incident. Aniston saw this coming because "you can't get away with that."
She went on to say that her experience wasn't to the extent of the other girls, but as classy as Aniston is - she won't go into detail.
What I would like to know is this - how could you let $214,000 in fraudulent charges slip by on your credit card? You know they didn't happen all at once. That just goes to show you that even stars sometimes don't watch their finances like they should. They should always have a trusted financial advisor sifting through their bills to look for strange charges.
Maria Gabriella Perez is maintaining her innocence, and her Facebook status reads that she will be 'exonerated' of all allegations soon.
