Beware of Airbags

Airbags are not as safe as you may think, I had an incident with the Airbag in my car. I got up one morning it was a normal day i didn't go to work that day I needed to pick up something from the store, so I went and got in my car headed out for the store as soon as I got about a half of block from the store I got ready to stop at the Traffic light and than I heard a loud pop, bane, sound both of my Airbags had busted it hit me in my chest real hard and than the car started smoking, so I knew something bad had happen so I tried to jump out of my car, but the door wouldn't open I kept trying to unlock it and push it open I thought the car was going to exploded because I didn't at the time know what had happen all I could see was the smoke from the Airbag. A nice gentlemen came over to the car and open my door I don't know how he got it open and he said "your Airbag busted", so I crawled out into the street the car kept on rolling Thur the intersection and ran into a light pole, at the time when I heard the loud pop sound and saw smoke I didn't think to put the car in park, my only thought was to exit the vehicle, it was a good thing it only hit the pole and no one else got hurt.

The Airbag left big lacerations on my chest, neck, and my hand was red sightly swollen. The police and fire truck came I was able to get up and walk, and I felt ok after a while, but can you imagine when the car went Thur the intersection, it could have hit another vehicle or someone could've hit my car as well, also just think if I was on the Expressway and this happen or there was a child on board. Airbags suppose to help save lives , I was lucky it could have been a lot worst, so beware of Airbags they aren't as safe as you may think especially if it just pop out right in your face while you're driving and you didn't even hit anything. I'm sure this has happen to others and we just didn't hear about it. That sound was so loud I though to myself "this looks really bad am I going to be able to get out of this car alive". Years ago the same thing happen to my son he was on a busy highway Lake Shore Dr. in Chicago, IL and he had to go to the Hospital for treatment later that night Complaining of head aces, he hit his head on something he had a concussion. " So beware of Airbags" they can also end your life.
