Despite a 12 year age difference, rapper Jay Z (38) and long time girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles(26) who have been dating since 2002 got married on Friday, April 4 in New York according to People.com.

No Big Wedding
Despite having the income to throw a huge lavish wedding bash, the couple chose to make their celebration an intimate affair with friends and family. As far as a honeymoon, it means the new Mrs. Z would have to hit the road while Jay-Z is on tour with Mary J. Blige. The "Heart of the City" touched down Saturday in Greensboro, N.C. and is scheduled Sunday in Washington, D.C.

Wedding Guests Wear White
Beyonce's sister, Solange showed up wearing a white micro dress. Guest Gwyneth Paltrow arrived with her rock star husband Chris Martin. Destiny's Child band mates Kelly Rowlands and Michelle Williams also arrived wearing white. See People.com for photos.

Party Plans
A marriage license was obtained last Tuesday in Scarsdale, N.Y. D.J. Cassidy was hired to spin tunes at Jay Z's penthouse apartment in Tribeca. Friday a white tent was erected on the roof top of the building where deliveries of flowers, AV equipment and flower rentals arrived. According to People.com, Amy's Orchids were hired to provide 50,000 to 60,000 white orchids form Thailand.
