Beyonce, Beautiful Liar Featuring Shakira

When I first heard about Shakira and Beyonce collaborating on a song, my thoughts were not good. I did not believe that they would be able to pull of something hot. Shakira's music is not like Beyonce's tunes. They are both talented singers, but I could not picture them together. Fortunately, I was wrong. The new "Beautiful Liar" song from Beyonce's re-released "B'Day" album is hot. It is not only catchy, Beyonce and Shakira sound well together. I had the pleasure of watching the "Beautiful Liar" music video for the first time recently. This music video is incredibly entertaining.

The "Beautiful Liar" music video is very appealing. It's Shakira and Beyonce, what more can you want? They are surrounded by smoke, water and dark clouds galore. I can watch the music video for "Beautiful Liar" multiple times and not get bored. One amusing thing about this experience is that I actually learned what the song was about. The alliance of Beyonce and Shakira about a two-timing boyfriend is very refreshing.

They are both dating the same man but instead of going after each other, they both leave him alone. This is extremely different from women in real life and exhibits more mature behavior than Brandy and Monica's collaboration on the 1990's song, "The Boy is mine". Instead of looking at the guy, R&B singers Brandy and Monica fought over him. It looks like they did come to their senses in that particular music video. However, Beyonce and Shakira have it together all the way through.

The sexy dance moves in the "Beautiful Liar" music video are great. That may be the only reason that many male teenagers and adults like the video. I would not be surprised if women were at home trying to copy these dance moves from Shakira and Beyonce. Their outfits look hot, especially the black dresses at the beginning of "Beautiful Liar" when they are standing in water. This music video depicts Beyonce and Shakira as both elegant and tough women. That is always a great combination.

The technical portion the "Beautiful Liar" music video provides extra entertainment to the initial pleasure of watching Shakira and Beyonce dancing in hot outfits on the TV screen. This music video has a nice balance of light and darkness. The "Beautiful Liar" music video is mostly dark and Smokey, providing a somewhat mysterious viewing experience. I wonder if the smoke represents Beyonce and Shakira's wrath and demise of the cheating man that they were inadvertently sharing. Whether or not that is true, the "Beautiful Liar" music video is a must-see for all music fans.

All music collaborations do not blend well. The "Beautiful Liar" song and music video is one of the best collaborations that I have seen. It is especially entertaining to see how great two singers with different styles can come together and produce something as good as "Beautiful Liar" both vocally and visually. Beyonce and Shakira should be nominated for a music video award. Even if that does not happen, the "Beautiful Liar" music video will remain a winner in my book. It is an A+ production worth watching repeatedly without doubt. Hats go off to Shakira and Beyonce for the "Beautiful Liar" music video.
