Beyonce Knowles I Am...Sasha Fierce Early Album Review

Does Beyonce Deliver on Her Third Album?

The Reviewer
Beyonce Knowles is one of the biggest names in all of entertainment. She has successfully transitioned from music to films effortlessly and is one of the biggest stars in the whole world. To freshen up her appeal though, Beyonce is back with her third studio album I Am...Sasha Fierce. I Am shows off the delicate and sensitive side of Beyonce while Sasha Fierce shows off her other distinctively different personality. Will Beyonce's fresh approach deliver an equally fresh album?

The first single off of I Am... is If I Were A Boy. The track has made its writer BC Jean a highly in demand solo artist in her own right. The song is a fairly solid pop track however, nothing out of the ordinary.

Halo is a collaboration between OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, Evan "Kidd" Bogart and Beyonce. The song has a definite OneRepublic vibe to it and is one of the better tracks the album.

Disappear is a solid acoustic guitar driven track. The song sounds as though Rihanna would have originally performed it.

Broken-Hearted Girl features the production and writing talents of Babyface, StarGate and Beyonce. The song is a solid ballad that will do well at radio.

Ave Maria is another collaboration between Beyonce and StarGate. The track is not what you expect from a combination of these talented artists. The song has a show-tune vibe to it.

Satellites is another track you would not expect to hear from Beyonce. The song is well done and is extremely mellow.

The first single off of Sasha Fierce is Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). The track is a collaboration between Beyonce, Terius "The-Dream" Nash and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. The song is one of the stronger tracks off of the album and well done.

Radio is produced by Jim Jonsin and written by Rico Love and Beyonce herself. The song is a fairly solid up-tempo R&B track. The production just shines on the track as it is a well produced song.

Diva is produced by Bangladesh who is known for his work on Lil Wayne's A Millie. The track is written by Sean Garrett and co-written by Beyonce. The song is a poor bite off of A Millie and nothing special.

Sweet Dreams is yet another collaboration between Beyonce, Jim Jonsin and Rico Love. The track however is nothing special whatsoever and one of the weak points of the album.

Video Phone is once again a collaboration between Beyonce, Sean Garrett and Bangladesh. The track just does not seem to work on many different levels.

I Am...Sasha Fierce is a departure from what you expect from Beyonce. This factor is both good and bad however. Overall I Am...Sasha Fierce gets 7 out of 10. If you are a fan of Beyonce make sure you pick up I Am...Sasha Fierce when it is available in stores on November 18th.
