Beyonce Knowles is Nominated for 10 Grammy Awards !

Julia Bodeeb
Beyonce Knowles has 10 Grammy Award nominations, the most nominations for any artist this year. Way to go Beyonce!

Will Beyonce win a Grammy for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, or Song of the Year? Or will Taylor Swift, nominated for 8 Grammy Awards, nudge her out of the way to win the awards? The 52nd annual Grammy Awards promise to be an exciting evening for music fans everywhere.

These two very different ladies are fighting to win awards and dominate the Grammys. It will be fascinating to see whether the young country music star Taylor Swift, only age 20, has a sweep of awards or if Beyonce, a more seasoned veteran of the music business, shows the youngsters how to do it as her R&B songs sweep the awards.

Beyonce's album, "I am... Sasha Fierce" is a tribute to her alter ego, Sasha Fierce, who Beyonce says she turns into when she is up on stage performing.

Beyonce has a lot of class. When Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at a prior awards ceremony, Beyonce gave Taylor some of her time on stage to finish up her acceptance speech. That was very caring of Beyonce.

It is easy to see that Beyonce has an ego that is in control. There aren't any "out of control diva" stories about her circulating, the way there are about so many other singers or other creatives like actors.

Beyonce's Competition at the Grammy Awards

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga will also be giving some competition to Beyonce at the Grammy Awards. Lady Gaga has an intense following and her theatrical performances provide a lot of drama for fans. Will Lady Gaga challenge Beyonce and win at this awards ceremony?

Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas are also nominated against Beyonce. This quirky group has soulful lyrics and also many upbeat songs that have a unique sense of whimsy. The Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" is up against Beyonce's song "Halo." Both songs are powerful and adept at engaging emotions. This award is generating a lot of excitement.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's song "You Belong With Me" will give Beyonce some fierce competition in the Song of the Year category. This very romantic song has won many hearts over.

However, Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" has already become a classic mantra for women worldwide. This upbeat song will long be a female power song. Beyonce does a fabulous job energetically singing out the new anthem for young women who want their love validated with a shiny bauble.

I am hoping Beyonce earns a lot of awards this year. Her album is fabulous. Her song "Single Ladies" has gone viral and speaks to women everywhere. Beyonce has hit a place of glory in her career. She has put the years in and learned how to put out a powerful album that will have longevity.

Vive La Difference!

The three female singers Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga are worlds apart in their music and their performance styles. The arts have room enough for everyone. It is nice to see such unique performers each shining in her own way and achieving super star status.
