Beyonce knew early in her life that she had a passion for music. On her website Beyonce talks about how her song "Radio" describes her early love for music. "I didn't go to all of the parties and I didn't do all the things that a lot of the other teenage girls did because I was so in love with my radio and my music."

First Solo Album: A Huge Hit

Beyonce's first solo album earned five Grammy Awards and had sales of 4 million albums. At the 2010 Grammy Awards Beyonce won 6 Grammys. She now has a total of 16 Grammy awards for all of her years in the music industry.

Beyonce has many different interests and has created companies and nonprofits that relate to her different pursuits. Beyonce works hard and builds ever more revenue. Forbes reports that in 2009 Beyonce earned $87 million dollars. She has a strong drive to do well in her career.

A Fashion Company

Beyonce has worked with her mother, Tina Knowles, on a fashion line called House of Dereon. The company was originally started in Louisiana by Beyonce's grandmother, Agnez Dereon. This fashion company offers a range of styles from casual to haute.

Doing Good Deeds

Beyonce also uses her enormous career success to help other people. She created the Beyonce Cosmetology Center in Brooklyn, New York to help people who are in recovery from drug addiction, notes the Daily Mail. This program offers cosmetology classes for people at Phoenix House, a drug and alcohol recovery center. This will help the participants in the program learn new career skills to use upon leaving the addiction center.

Beyonce's Marriage to Jay-Z

Beyonce's song "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) is now an anthem for single women everywhere. This song makes it clear that Beyonce wants women to find joy in love and to have dreams about marriage.

She seems very joyful in her marriage with Jay-Z. In a video documentary of her life called "I am ...World Tour," Beyonce talked about her marriage. She admits to being lonely while touring without her husband. She announced "I'm flying home today. I miss my baby," reports the Daily Mail.

Beyonce and Jay-Z look very happy and comfortable with each other when they are photographed around the world. They are taking some time as a couple before they start a family. They recently had a vacation in Australia.
