Beyonce: Talented, Beautiful and Graceful

All these word describe the talented powerhouse we know as Beyonce Knowles. Beyonce has taken the entertainment world by storm and despite her successes, she sometimes come under scrutiny by her peers. As a huge fan of Beyonce's, I cannot see how anyone can criticize this young lady. As the lead singer and frontwoman of the group Destiny's Child, it has been said that Beyonce was only looking out for herself and that she never had the rest of the group's interests at heart.

This can be said about many groups in music history. This can be said about any group for that matter. What we have to understand is no one person's drive and commitment is the same. While the other young ladies in the group are just as beautiful and talented, Beyonce just has something extra. She is determined to be a star and she strives hard to be the best she can be. You cannot become a huge success overnight and without working for it. Some people are not willing to put in the hard work and effort it takes to be successful. You get out of something what you put into it. While it sometimes seems that "its all about Beyonce" she never fails to mention or include her friends. This is what I love about her. She is not only beautiful on the outside, but she is on the inside as well. Although they have each decided to do solo projects, she still remains close with Kelly and Michelle. Some suspect that their close bond is a little exaggerated, but they have always been there for each other and they have shared success. Many can not understand this since we live in a society where the "green-eyed monster" often rears its ugly head.

While young people should not always look to celebrities to be role models, this young lady could be considered as one. While her alter-ego "Sasha" can be a little racy at times, she performs tastefully. It doesn't come across as overly sexy, but energetic and confident, important attribute for anyone to have. An attribute that many young African-American women lack. Beyonce has proved that she is not just another pretty face in the industry. She posesses true talent, something that is few and far between in today's music industry.

It is no surprise that Beyonce is in a relationship with rapper/mogul JayZ. They have a lot in common in that they are two very talented and driven individuals and are tops in their line of business. JayZ has achieved much success as first a rapper and producer and now a business tycoon. They prove to young people that no matter where you come from, you can make it if you want it bad enough and you try hard enough.

While artists come and go in this extremely competitive business, I think Ms. Knowles will be around for a long time! Beyonce, you go girl!
