Beyonce's Kitty Kat Goes to the Sims

Why the Sims Version is Sometimes Better

Mike Street
Music videos cost a fortune to produce. You have to have sets, lighting, extras, costumes, and special effect and all of that can add up to big bucks. But hidden deep in the world of YouTube videos is a trend in which fans are using the video capture features of the popular game, The Sims, to create their own music video. And often times these music videos are more interesting then the originals.

For example lets examine Beyonce's Kitty Kat video. In the original you only get to enjoy Beyonce and the giant cat for a few seconds. They cut the video shot and go directly into Greenlight. But me being a Beyonce fan I wanted a full video version of Kitty Kat. So I stumbled upon the Sims created version of the video and it is super cute. It's filled with a cleaver style that will make you want to watch it from start to finish.

The creator of the video places a Sims version of Beyonce on 3 different sets and lets his imagination run wild. The Sims Beyonce and her back up dancers dance to the beat of the video and it's totally fun to watch. As the world of Machinima grows we can expect to see more and more of these fan created videos hit the underground and I'm hoping soon that these artist take note of these fan creations and let one of them be used as the actual video.

I wasn't into the SIMS version of the video too much. It's cute for about 30 seconds, but I'd rather see the real people. On the other hand, I never even knew she had videos for those other songs. I'm going to post a link to your article in a bulletin so people can see the videos with her in it. Thanks for sharing her real videos.
