Beyond My Wildest Dreams!

Amanda Lay
I was in the checkout line at the grocery store to when an elderly man looked at me, smiled and said, "Hi, I can't believe I had to go sixteen miles to the store only to stand in line for Bananas." "My wife has a heart condition and needs the potassium," he explained as the line moved slowly forward.

"I'm sorry," I said, listening sympathetically.

"Don't be," "you have a serious problem," he said looking at my wheelchair.

"Sir," I smiled, "I don't think of my disability that way," I explained. "I consider it a blessing. The Lord has some very special plans for my life. My disability has given the Lord opportunities to many do wonderful things for His glory. He has a good reason," I said.

"That He does," he said. "You have a beautiful faith. Keep your beautiful spirit." In all honesty, my love and heart is the least I can give to my wonderful Heavenly Father. Jesus loves and cares for me even though I don't deserve it. He has blessed me far beyond my wildest dreams!
