Beyond the Zone Last Call Hair Masque Review

Rebecca Said
Today I tried Beyond the Zone Last Call hair masque for the first time. I went to Sally Beauty Supply for some hair color. While I was there they recommended that I use Last Call before coloring. The lady at the register said that it is a very popular item for hair conditioning. I paid $1.69 for a 1 oz packet of last call hair masque. It comes in a beige and blue packet with "Last Call" printed in comic letters across the front. It says, "For battered and abused hair."

On the back it says, "Got dried or fried straw-like hair? After coloring, bleaching and spastic styling, hair can get brittle and dehydrated-basically fried. Get the hook-up that won't weigh you down! Repair damaged hair to strengthen and add needed nourishment for a healthy do."

Package was not easy to tear open, and I had to use scissors. If you have not used a hair masque before it may seem a little strange. It looks just like a light colored mud, but smells good. You just apply this mud to towel dried hair, leave it on for 5 minutes and then rinse out. One aspect I enjoyed is that the Last Call hair masque does not harden on my hair as it dries. It actually seemed to be absorbing into my hair. After I rinsed it off and let my hair dry, I noticed that my hair seemed to be healthier overall. I did not see dramatic effects though. I did notice my hair seemed more hydrated, stronger and softer. I also like the fact that it is not greasy and leaves your hair feeling fresh.

If you have severely damaged hair this product probably won't fix it. My opinion, is that Beyond the zone has a tendency of exaggerating claims about there products. On the labels they have fun advertising that will make many promises, but product doesn't usually live up to claims. I still think Beyond the Zone has some worthwhile products, but you have to take the claims with a grain of salt. I think Last Call will improve the condition of your hair and make it more hydrated. I think it was worth the price at only $1.69, and plan to buy it again.
