Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney World

Amber Domke
We recently visited Disney World. I'm very anal about researching places before we go. I like to know what is close, what there is exciting to do, what's fun, yet inexpensive and so on. I knew a Disney vacation would not be cheap, but I wanted to find ways to do it as affordable as possible. I wanted to go on vacation for a week and not worry about whether or not we'd have enough money to make it through the week or not. So a few months before we were set to leave my search began!

My four year old daughter wanted nothing more than to eat with Cinderella. Well, I didn't start looking into that early enough and by time I called they were booked solid. She talked about it for days and I just knew she'd never let me live it down. So I knew that I had to somehow come up with something else to make her feel special to take her mind off it. I began searching things to do in Disney and I found the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. There are actually two of them. One is in Disney World at the Magic Kingdom and the other is Downtown Disney. As soon as I read about it I called and made her an appointment.

Our experience at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was wonderful! They have three different packages you can choose from and the one I really wanted to do was going to run about $200 and I just couldn't see paying that much. I wasn't sure how the place was set up or how this would happen, but I decided ahead of time to bring her Cinderella dress with us and have her change before we went to her appointment. When we walked in there were several other girls dressed in princess dresses who had purchased the whole package, but she didn't know that. Once we got in and were settled she noticed Cinderella's crown and she just had to have one. I didn't mind buying that for her since I knew we were not going to be buying a dress, etc.

Once it was finally her turn she hopped up in the chair and she was so excited to have her hair, nails and make-up done. We've been home almost two weeks now and she is still using the stuff she got from there. Now, I have to say I wasn't very thrilled with some of the hair choices they had. The younger girls just loved them though and it is all about them so when my daughter chose the crazy hairstyle she did I just smiled. She had her hair done, fake nails put on and her make-up done. The girl who did her hair was so wonderful. She was very nice and was great with children. Once my daughter was finished she really did look like a little princess. With her hair, crown, and dress she was quite cute. When they are finished with their hair they turn them around so they can see themselves in the mirror. They use this little wand beforehand and say something like "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, may all your dreams come true." as they are sprinkling glitter onto their heads. It's a cute added touch. They also give them this little sash to put on that has the name of the boutique on it.

I was rather pleased with this place. We were the last people to leave and I didn't feel rushed at all. The photographer even stayed until she was completely finished. When we were about to leave someone came up and gave my daughter a wand that was from Cinderella's Royal Table. She was thrilled to have gotten it. She had a wonderful time and I did as well just watching her. It was an experience I highly suggest and one that we'll do again!
