Bible Reading Doesn't Fit into Your Schedule? Try This

Many Feel There Are Not Enough Hours in Their Day to Read the Bible

Pat Anthony
Most people in the United States will say they live in a Christian Nation, but then admit they haven't read the bible. Some have never owned a bible, while others do, but don't find time to read it.

According to one popular site, it will take approximately a total of 77 hours and 22 minutes to read a bible. This certainly can't be done in one day. It doesn't have to be done in church. It doesn't have to be done in a group. It doesn't have to be done to impress others.

Reading the bible a little each day just to see what it really says will take the average person one year if they do so just 12 minutes and 42 seconds daily. Some find reading the bible out of order to be more interesting. It doesn't matter how one does it. If someone really wants to know what the bible says it is imperative that they read it rather than letting someone else summarize it and avoiding the issue.

Every person has 24 hours in their day. Each day some adults spend time watching television shows that are of no value. In fact, it is estimated that the average adult watches more than 5 hours each day watching television. Perhaps a portion of that time could be devoted to bible reading...just 12 minutes and 42 seconds daily.

Listening to the Bible on tape can also be done while driving.

This is so great. Last night I was thinking, when I went to bed. Wow I didn't read my Bible but spend an hour on the computer. Not good. Thanks for the reminder!
