When Moses brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and into the wilderness, they began to complain because they had no food. They asked why the Lord would bring them out of Egypt only to let them die of starvation. The Lord then spoke to Moses and told him that He (the Lord) would rain down bread from heaven for them. He instructed that they would gather a certain amount each day. On the sixth day they were to gather twice as much as other days in order to have food for the Sabbath. They were to gather an omer for each person. An omer is about one tenth of an ephah, or about 3.7 quarts. They were to gather no more than that. If they gathered more than they were supposed to, it would have worms in it.
When the children of Israel saw the "bread" they did not know what it was. They called it Manna. What did it "look" like and what did it "taste" like?

Good article. My pastor talked about this last night.
Oh , you want to get me started on the Moses story. I studied the Bible extensively for 7 years. I am a Christian and my Lord Jesus is my savior. But those people who followed Moses are still alive and here today. Where is it written "those who cannot remember history are doomed to repeat it"?
