Bible Verses About Forgiveness

The Power of Forgiveness

John Sachem
What does the Bible say about forgiveness? The Bible provides an engaging story of God's unfailing love for His people. God loves us despite our tendency to break His heart and run away from Him. The following Bible verses illustrate the extent of God's love for us. God offers grace and mercy through His son Jesus Christ by dying on the cross. God's forgiveness is available to us all because we are all in need of it. Meditate and study these passages. Offering forgiveness is not easy but it is the only way to start the healing process in your life. When we forgive those who hurt us we release the anger, hurt and disappointment. Experiencing complete forgiveness will take time but the resolve to let go of the inner struggle is the beginning of the healing process. We are called to be kind and compassionate, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave us.

Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
