Bible Verses for the Home Economy

Randy Jones
Today more than ever families across the country are feeling the impact of a tough economy. Families as well as individuals have fallen into the cycles of home foreclosure's as well as layoffs and cutbacks by employers.
With each day a roller coaster ride of worry and emotional strain wondering if and when bills will be paid or jobs will be lost people are turning more to their Faith and church for guidance and piece of mind.

I to have felt the impact of our ever guessing economic future though not as hard as some have I was subject to a restructure in salary as were all salaried personnel in our company. One thing that has always help me through any life crisis is the comfort I find in reading my Bible daily. I was searching through for some scripture that I thought might help ease my mind as well as others. Some great verses I found are in the book of Matthew.
The first one is Matthew: Chapter 6 verse 33. This is the all explicable verse for almost every crisis in one's life. The verse from the King James Version is "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". Which interprets to, daily search for the will of God in your life and He will help you through you troubles.

This is just a drop in the bucket to the helpful verses found through out the Old and New Testaments for daily guidance for the home economy. A few others I found to be of help are,
Matthew 6:19, Ecclesiastes 6:2, and Proverbs 23:4-5. As I read these I am reminded that some of my worry is not really over the necessities I need but more over the luxuries I have acquired. When I stand back and look at the whole picture I see that I have everything I need just maybe not everything I want.
