Bible Verses on Hope

God's word describes many accounts of individuals being confronted with obstacles formidable enough to sway anyone's hope. However, those accounts manifest and profess his unfaltering promise in which we can place our hope in today. Here are a few verses on what God has said on hope and the promise we should keep in mind.

Job 11:17-18
¹⁷ Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning.¹⁸ You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.

Job 14:7
⁷ "At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail.

Psalm 9:16-18
¹⁶ The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. ¹⁷ The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God. ¹⁸ But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish.

Psalm 25:5
⁵ guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Psalm 119:81
My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.

Lamentations 3:25-26
²⁵ The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; ²⁶ it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

Romans 5:1-5

Psalm 71:13-15

Isaiah 40:30-31
