Bible Verses About Taking Revenge

Revenge is Never Sweet

John Sachem
Taking revenge never solves the problem. In the moment of our anger and frustration many of us want to get even by inflicting pain. Taking revenge may seem sweet at first but it always leaves a bitter aftertaste. It is wise to step back from the situation and look at the bigger picture. Think of the long-term consequences of your actions. Search the Scriptures and seek wise counsel. Pray to God and ask Him to take control of your situation.

Offering forgiveness is probably the last thing on your mind, but it is one way to start the healing process. When we forgive those who hurt us we release the anger, hurt and disappointment. Experiencing complete forgiveness will take time but the resolve to let go of the inner struggle is the beginning of the healing process.

So true my good and godly friend John. Vengence is the Lord's so I will leave it up to Him who will reckon to each of us all things that we have ever done. I don't ever want to take the place of God and punish someone, even if they have intentionally hurt me. Its all about trusting in God as the True and Supreme Judge to Whom all will have to give an account. This is spot on the mark brother. Thanks John and I thank God FOR you.
