Bid "Fair"well to Summer at Labor Day Festivals

Whether it's a small town or county fair taking place on the back roads or massive state or multi-county fairs, Labor Day is a time to celebrate before the cooler months. Fairs feature all that is , from great food and farm animals to live music and entertainment. Fairs are occurring across the country all summer long with some of the best ones occurring over Labor Day weekend.

Vermont State Fair:
Rutland, Vermont

Commencing the Friday before Labor Day and running for nine days, this fair offers everything a typical fair does but to a greater and more vast degree. The 161^st annual Vermont State Fair opens with a fireworks show and offers Music, farming demonstrations, and food all accompany a powerful entertainment schedule that features a circus thrill show, magic, races, rides and music. On tap this year to perform are Adam Rosenberg, Country Living, Twiddle, Eddy Rivers, Adirondack Fiddlers, and Red Hot Rider.

Three-County Fair:
North Hampton, Massachusetts

The 189^th Three-County fair continues this year and remains focused on its roots, fun affordable family entertainment. Always concluding on Labor Day, this fair is the longest continuously running agricultural fair in the country. Most of this Labor Day fairs favorites return this year alongside some new additions to entertain the audience. The event most notably missing is horse racing, which will not be present for the first time in over 50 years. Replacing this fan favorite are two new events: A country collectibles craft show and a three-day horse riding competition focusing on youth riders and jumping. Among returning favorites are the demolition derby and the horse competition.
