Biden Vs Palin

No Winners

Which of these politicians will you believe. I have seen more emphasis on the truth at manure spreader conventions. First this was not a debate by any of the standards that I accept. It was a comment based news media event. Those that declare it a debate are only fooling themselves.

Biden and Palin need to be honest enough to admit they have no say in the policies of this campaign. The millionaires and their respective employees have made these decisions long ago. I listened to these two politicians attempt to deface the opposition. I heard nothing positive suggested that could be done, might be done, will be done if elected. Face facts as Vice President of the United States they can't do anything but shake hands or preside at a deadlock vote in the Senate. Unless of course one of the Millionaires dies in office.

This country is in deep dodo and no one man or woman is going to change that. We need a leader that understands this fact and is honest enough to say it as it is. Thus far I have not seen the man or woman that can honestly say that. All these current candidates seem able to do is point fingers at what is wrong with the opposition. Not one has taken any responsibility for the mess we are in and as Senators they had a part in it.

You ask who won the debate? I don't know but as of this minuet I can tell you who lost. The American people lost. Those of us that watched this circus wasted hours of precious time. Who ever paid to put this fiasco on TV lost millions of dollars. We got a rehash of the half truths the millionaires have been pushing for the last year. The political manure spreader continues to churn out information.

In about a month we all have the right to express our opinion at the poles. Before and after we have the right to express our opinion in the bars, bowling alleys, bingo parlors even on the Internet at places like Associated Content.

In the early morning hours the media will begin re-hashing the "Debate" The media will tell us who won but the media once again will ignore the true losers, the citizens of the United States of America. This is my opinion and I'm sticking to it. It doesn't matter if we agree or disagree. It only matters that we accept each others opinions. Remember opinions are like noses everyone has one. ..Mizpah ;-}}>

I was talking about the debate with my friend and said that I now wish Biden was running for President. He did a lot of research before the debate and made a lot of good points; whereas I think Palin did better than she normally does, I don't think she realized a) that she does not control the debate and b) she has her facts beyond messed up. She really makes me angry!

Good writing. I only managed to watch parts of it; I kept yelling "SAY SOMETHING THAT MATTERS!" at the television, and it was raising my blood pressure. I agree with you -- neither said anything specific about what they would do (and as vice president, all they can really do, aside from what you said, is go to funerals of foreign dignitaries) -- the thing that scared me was Palin saying she wanted the Vice President to have even more power than Cheney has now. I don't think that's in the Constitution, but maybe I should go read it again... I wish we could vote for "none of the above" and get new candidates. I hope the American people can pull together. It's way past the time of pointing fingers; it's time to act.

Frankly, Alban, I'm scared - scare of this whole election. Scared of Obama - he talks big and blows alot of wind. If you look at his political record and what he has done in the past politically he counterdicates what he's currently saying he's going to do in the future. His financial backers scare me - alot of off shore non-allie - campaign dollars. ( The possibility is that they are the same people our soldiers are fighting. - They are paying him to get out soldiers out of their countries.) Biden is not much better. He's a puppet. McCain may be older - and yes I love Cindy, too - but if he is indeed the maverick he is claiming to be then I think that's what we need. Personnally, I'd vote of Palin for President because she has proven to have more guts to stand up against government officials in Alaska. We need something other than the usual republican or democrat politicians - MAVERICKS! People who will stand their ground and do what it takes to get us out of these holes we've

I keep hearing about Biden's experience. Experience has done squat for us. We keep moving them into government, let them go through the ranks. After they have learned how to kiss butt, lie and manipulate for gain, then, we vote them higher. Experience has done squat so I don't think McCain or Biden help on that front. Yeah, they reach across the aisle and then stab them in the back to get what they want. This is what Biden has done to McCain. Nothing is ever going to change. We are taxed to death and money is wasted. Yeah, yeah, tax the rich, then give to the lazy. If we were the rich we wouldn't like that so much. It is not going to change. I know people don't like this, but of the four Palin is the least of the Washington game. Surround her with good people and we might actually have a chance to care about regular folks.

Good job here! What is happening this morning is exactly what you said. I like your take on this - the fact that it was more a discussion. They didn't really disagree all that much. Frankly, I thought both Biden & Palin turned in a more interesting program - and spoke more succinctly even if we don't agree with everything said - than the first presidential debate.

Alban, don't trust the media to say who won the debate. They only have one response, whether is true or not. In fact, I pretty much know that if the media says it these day, the opposite is the truth.
