Big 12 Tournament Schedule 2010 Welcomes Kansas Today

Robert Dougherty
The Big 12 tournament schedule 2010 moves on to the quarterfinals today. Kansas leads the Big 12 tournament schedule as they've lead the conference all year. The Jayhawks are the heavy favorites in the final eight and even heavier favorites against Texas Tech today. But there has already been one surprise so far in Kansas City, and a few teams looking to create more upsets in the quarters. Today's Big 12 tournament schedule 2010 does have a lot more going on than Kansas taking the court.

Before that, the first game of the day is the Jayhawks vs. the Red Raiders at 12:30 p.m. EST. Texas Tech got here by handling Colorado, but Kansas is a lot harder. The Jayhawks have only lost twice all year and are now the favorites for the No. 1 overall seed. They have been challenged by big underdogs before, like Cornell and Colorado, but they usually come through in the end.

After the Jayhawks leave, the Big 12 tournament schedule 2010 moves on to their competition. Texas A&M has wrapped up another NCAA bid and may have gotten an easier quarterfinal match up today than they thought. However, last place Nebraska dominated defending champion Missouri yesterday, so the Aggies may not want to take things lightly.

After a few hours of rest, the schedule resumes with a pair of revealing games. The Big 12 tournament 2010 was not expected to have Kansas State as the second seed and Texas as the sixth. Yet that is what's at hand tonight, as Kansas State continues their run to the top against Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. EST.

Despite their surprising season, the Wildcats have had recent question marks, as they lost two games last week. The Cowboys beat them earlier in the year and beat Kansas two weeks ago, so they can easily pull the upset and spawn new doubts about Kansas State.

To end the quarters, slumping Texas tries to rise again and get some payback all at once. The Longhorns' are trying to recover from their costly last season slump - which included a blowout loss to Baylor last week. The Bears and Longhorns meet again tonight, though it will now be an upset if Texas wins.

The Big 12 tournament 2010 schedule is quite interesting today, as Kansas begins its March journey, Texas A&M tries to avoid another Nebraska upset, and two rematches wrap up the night. Despite the Jayhawks dominating most of the year, few want to see the other Big 12 teams in March either - and this week can prove why.

Even so, this is Kansas's Big 12 tournament to lose, just as it may be their NCAA tournament to lose. Their first March step of many will be taken in just a few minutes.
