"Big Adventures" in Westfield, Massachusetts can be summed up as one big "surprise." The "wow" factor takes place as soon as you walk in and see how big this kids paradise is.

The elaborate playscape is housed in an old mill, "The Mill at Crane Pond." You would never know it was there from the outside, it is hidden in this terrific old refurbished building that adds an industrial feeling from an era gone by. This airy and safe play area has lots of room with its large open space and two story high ceilings.

"Big Adventures" has one of the biggest indoor playscapes around with everything from slides, tunnels, and big ball pits for the kids to play in. This section alone provides hours of fun. There is a section scaled down for toddlers, which is just perfect for this age group.

Another section in "Big Adverntures" is the old fashioned arcade, which brings back memories for the parents and grandparents. The bowling machines, games of chance, games of skill, and the penny arcade claw, are just a few of the entertainment offerings in this gigantic kids world.

"Big Adventures" has not let modern technology pass them by. They have a section of all the favorite electronic arcade machines that simulates racing, space travel, arcade shooting, and more.

All of the games are operated on tokens which you buy at the token counter. Each time you or your kids win a game, the arcade machine dispenses tickets, which can be turned in for some terrific prizes. The prizes range from the small to large, depending upon on how many tickets that you have accumulated.

A snack bar is at one end of the building with a large menu that offers grinders, pizza, burgers, fries, soda, popcorn, along with other menu items. The kids are usually too busy playing to take the time to stop and eat, but after a while they might want a snack after expending all their energy on the playscape.

The admission is reasonable and this gives your child free reign to use the playscape for as long as you want to stay. You need to buy tokens if you or your child is planning to play any of the games, but they are reasonably priced.

One of the highlights of "Big Adventures" is their "build a cuddly creation" section. The kids can build their own teddy bears or other stuffed animals with hundreds of options for accessories to choose from. This can be a bit costly, but it is not anymore than if you purchased a high end stuffed animal at the toy store.

The staff reports that adults are only allowed in the building if they come in with a child and this wide open space makes it easy to keep your eyes on the kids. The kids check their shoes in at the door and need to wear socks, which "Great Adventures" will supply for a minimal cost.

"Great Adventures" is a fun way for you and your kids to spend an afternoon, it is reasonably priced, safe, clean, and staffed with friendly people. It is a great place to hold your kids birthday party because the kids will constantly be kept entertained with all this place has to offer.
