Big Bird's birthday is today. Big Bird's birthday and Sesame Street's anniversary are important. Big Bird's legs are featured as the "L" on Google today.

How old is Big Bird now that today is his birthday? Big Bird's birthday marks the 40th anniversary of the popular children's series Sesame Street.

Everyone has fond memories of Sesame Street. Chances are, every single person that is reading this article has seen at least a portion of one episode of Sesame Street. Everyone knows Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Bert and Ernie, and Snuffy.

To celebrate Big Bird's birthday, Big Bird became leading man on Google's latest specialty "Google Doodle." This year there have been several Google doodles that have gained a significant amount of popularity. Among the most popular are the Google Barcode, Google Crop Circles, and my personal favorite, the paranormal Google Doodle.

Sesame Street has had a significant amount of popularity over the years. The most recent bout of popularity is when First Lady Michelle Obama went to Sesame Street to film a public service message.

Michelle Obama was more excited about her visit to Sesame Street than she was speaking to the UN. According to the Christian Science Monitor, she said to the UN audience: "I'm thrilled to be here, but I was just at Sesame Street, I'm sorry," she said to laughter.

"And I never thought I'd be on Sesame Street with Elmo and Big Bird, and I was thrilled. I'm still thrilled. I'm on a high,"

I wonder if Michelle Obama and her daughters will be celebrating Big Bird's birthday today.

I am amazed that today is Big Bird's birthday - 40th birthday at that. Sesame Street is one of the longest running TV shows in the United States, and there's no end in sight. Those that wish to watch Sesame Street can do so on PBS. PBS is a public channel.

What can you do to celebrate Big Bird's birthday today? If you have young children, watch some of the Sesame Street episodes. Go all out and watch some of the very first Sesame Street episodes to see how times have changed. You can also go online and search for free printables. Coloring pages and many other items can be found free online if you look hard enough.

If you are an adult, you can just head on over to Google and look at their doodle. It's enough to make you smile. After all, we all grew up on Big Bird.
