Big Brother 10 - Steven Lobbies for Libra to Go Home in His Stead

Judith Blakley
After hearing all the gossip about Libra yesterday, Steven decided to propose to Jessie and Michelle his plan for sending Libra home this week. It took Steven an hour to finally get a shot at asking Michelle to meet with him without anyone else in the house overhearing his request.

Steven, Michelle and Jessie talked privately in the HOH bedroom about the Veto Ceremony and Steven's proposal. Michelle was upset with Steven, telling him she felt like he was attacking her, or ganging up on her at the last minute, having not approached her prior to that moment. Steven lays everything out there, explaining himself as to why he befriended Brian and found himself now on the block. He suggests to her that since everyone is fed up with Libra, that if she uses the Veto to send Libra home this week, she will look like a hero. Michelle insists not everyone in the house has a problem with Libra. Jessie said that if anyone comes down, he wants to put Renny up. Jessie does not want to jump on board with Steven's plan when he has no guarantee that EVERYONE else in the house is on board with getting Libra out this week. Jessie and Michelle explain to Steven that if they take him off and put Libra on the block, they will look like they are in an alliance with Steven and they do not want to be put into that position. Michelle said that if this was a real issue in the house, why has no one else in the house said anything to her about it? She says she has heard nothing about it. Steven explained how this whole thing with Libra just came to light yesterday.

Steven expressed his frustration that nobody bothered to give him the benefit of a doubt, all because he offered to do Brian one favor. Because he did one thing for Brian, he was lumped into all the things that Brian was planning and doing. Michelle still thinks of all the people Steven is mentioning, that wants Libra gone, as being "Brian's Alliance." Michelle said she does not want to play the game by getting rid of all the people other people fight with. She says she has not had any problems with Libra. Steven defends the people who have been having problems with Libra.

Jessie said that he saw through Libra's sugar coating her side of the fight yesterday when she came over to him to vent and defend her position in the fight.

Michelle does not react well to Steven's pressure to make a decision on the spot. Jessie tries to explain that Michelle has to think things out. Steven said all that he can offer her is that everyone who wants Libra out will be on Michelle's side. Steven made sure to say that these people do not have a set alliance, but that they will all appreciate her helping them get rid of someone that none of them trust. Video: (www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxEWBCoxGH4).

Michelle does not believe what Steven is saying about how Keesha would use the Veto to save him in order to have Libra sent home this week. Michelle says she does not believe Keesha would use the Veto. Michelle tells Steven not to believe anything he hears and only half of what he sees. Steven said "This thing started coming into my head. Not only could you save yourself, but you could help other people." Michelle explains that she needs to consider what will happen if one of those people get HOH next week. Video: (www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGnxwOigD-M).

Jessie plays devil's advocate to explain how things would work if they did put Libra up, and Libra has two and a half days to work magic with everyone. Steven insists there is no way Libra could talk her way out of leaving the house. Video: (www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujaFd7fLcnA).

After Steven leaves the HOH room, he goes to Dan to explain his attempt to get Michelle to use the Veto on one of them. Dan decides to go pitch the plan to get rid of Libra too. Video: (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue9fp1O35m8).

Dan came up to the HOH room and he was immediately told to "take a seat." Dan just told them that he was willing to do whatever he needed to do for them if they chose to use the Veto to take him off the block. They want Dan to tell them how they can help him without looking like they are aligned with him. They sat down and hashed out everything that happened while Brian was in the house.

After Dan leaves, Michelle says she needs chocolate. Dan came back into the room for a minute, then Michelle jumps on the bed with Jessie and they hug while she tells him she is not going to use the Veto. Video: (www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1k8ybwFrWE).

I saw a bit of this one. Unfortunately, I didn't know enough about the group to have a strong feeling either way. I'm not too impressed with most of this year's candidates as I have seen them. But then I haven't seen that much either.
