Big Brother 12 episode 27 aired on Wednesday, September 8. Big Brother 12 episode 27 revealed the latest house eviction as well as Part 1 of the new Head of Household competition. With only one week left to go in the house, they were down to the final four, meaning that everyone had a one in four chance of winning the $500,000 prize. Before they got to that point though, they had to finally show the Power of Veto competition that took place back on Saturday, and was finally getting revealed to the CBS viewers.

Big Brother 12 Episode 27 Recap

The episode began with the nominations from last Friday that were revealed on Sunday. Hayden had just won the latest Head of Household competition, and with his nominations he chose Lane and Britney as his two nominations. He had decided to protect Enzo, and Hayden sat Lane down to talk about why he had made this decision. It was clear that Britney was going to become the target this week, even if Lane would have preferred the final two to be himself and Britney. He wanted Enzo to be the one evicted, but had to play his cards right so that he didn't end up being the target this week.

Suspicion was pretty evident in Enzo's mind though, because he wasn't 100% confident that Hayden and Lane weren't planning something else behind his back. Then there was Britney, who basically knew that she was going to have to win the Power of Veto competition in order to protect herself in the house. Britney had painted herself into a corner, and couldn't even make any more promises after all of her lies in the house.

Final Big Brother 12 Power of veto Competition

The final Big Brother 12 Power of Veto competition involved the houseguests trying to match names of evicted houseguests on a big board of clues. All four of them were playing on their own board at the same time, with the simple object being to finish it in the least amount of time. The first one done would win this week's Power of Veto.

Lane was having a lot of trouble figuring out what to do, and according to his Diary Room message, couldn't even remember who he nominated last week as the Head of Household, let alone anything else that had taken place in the house. Meanwhile Britney, Hayden, and even Enzo had strategies they were trying to play out on the boards. Some of the clues were pretty obvious, while others could pertain to more than one person, so it was pretty tough at times.

Hayden won the Power of Veto by a large margin when it came down to it, keeping all of the power within the house in his own hands. This meant that he could now control the nominations, and choose to keep them exactly the same if that was the direction that he wanted to go. He was really the only person that was completely happy with winning, as the other three got pretty stressed about their safety in the house.

Revelation of the Brigade Alliance

Hayden, Enzo, and Lane decided to reveal the Brigade alliance to Britney, and they did it up in the Head of Household room. It caused Britney to break down in front of them, and went to one of the other rooms to go to bed early. She was pretty mad that there had been an alliance that she didn't know about, but she was probably crying because of how many people she had lied to in order to get to that point in the game. Lane still wanted to be her friend, even though she was refusing to even talk to him about it.

It's worth noting that she was allowed to cry and get sad, even though when Rachel did the same thing when she knew she was going home, Britney kept giving her a hard time about it, and was still attacking Rachel about it in the house this week. This revelation probably also showed Britney that she should have actually tried to play the game, rather than just win the vetoes and never use them in game play. What they didn't tell the audience, was that everything depicted had already happened last Saturday, and that Britney had become very close with the three guys in the days since.

Big Brother 12 September 8 Power of Veto Ceremony

Hayden decided to not use the Power of Veto this week, as was expected, and that meant that the nominations would stay exactly the same. They went right into the latest eviction ceremony after that played out.

Big Brother 12 September 8 Eviction Ceremony

Lane and Britney both gave their speeches about why they felt they should get to stay in the house, which then led up to Enzo giving the sole vote for eviction this week. Lane and Britney both gave good speeches about how much fun they had in the house.

Enzo voted to evict Britney from the Big Brother house.

Big Brother 12 Final Head of Household Competition Part 1

Part 1 of the final Head of Household competition started playing out on the Wednesday episode of Big Brother 12, even though it had all taken place in the house on Tuesday. The competition was an endurance challenge, where the three guys had to hang from ropes in a jungle type setting. The object was simply to be the last person still in the challenge. The problem was that CBS didn't want viewers to know how it would turn out, and the taped Wednesday episode didn't even reveal the winner of Part 1.CBS will reveal on the Thursday episode who won Part 1 of the final head of Household competition. The way it works is that after Part 1, the two losers face off in Part 2. The winners of Part 1 and Part 2 face off in a third challenge to decide the final Head of Household.
