"Big Brother 13" Predictions and Picks

"Big Brother 13" predictions and picks aren't exactly easy to make each season. Unlike shows like "The Bachelor", picking a winner on the "Big Brother" franchise often comes down to pot luck because the winner is often based on a series of competition winners.

So what will and can unfold on a show like "Big Brother" often comes down to who wins the "Head of Household" and "Power of Veto" each week. The dynamics change so quickly that it's nearly impossible to guarantee a winner this early in the season. Other shows might have spoilers leaked from time to time but "Big Brother" doesn't allow itself to such online foolishness.

Still, I think there is a cast of a small few who can win the entire competition from this point forward. The even tougher part about making "Big Brother" predictions this season is that one of the evicted houseguests will apparently be making a return via a competition within the week. If you saw Julie Chen talk about this potential "Big Brother 13" spoiler last week, you'll understand the significance of a possible re-entry into the show.

With that in mind, here are my "Big Brother 13" predictions and picks as we head down the stretch.

Brendon was evicted this past week and that means he and Rachel are most likely out of the mix when it comes to winning the competition. First off, I don't believe the majority of contestants can stand Rachel let alone allow her to win the competition. She's a cocky winner and a horribly sore loser. Although I have to admit she does do quite well in certain types of competitions. Unless her attitude shifts dramatically, I doubt she'll last more than a handful of weeks on the show. She is one of the odd men(or women) out, so if she could lay low(which doesn't seem likely or her style at all), she might be able to coast a few weeks without trouble while bigger targets are put on the block.

Daniele is an interesting prospect. While Rachel may target her in coming episodes, it seems as if she might be one of the favorites as the competition progresses. She's not really in a group with anyone at this point but she also isn't the target for now. Her ability to win competitions might also help her stick around.

I really think Jeff and Jordan will have the opportunity to be final five material. The two should be obvious targets because they are the only true duo left in the house(since Lawon and Kalia seem to refuse to bond). Jeff will be a large target for his ability to win physical competitions. Jordan might also be targeted because she was a one time winner. Both are extremely likable so that means the two could slide under the radar-but that's not completely likely. Unlike the past "Big Brother", I believe Jordan is exiting before Jeff because of her ability to win the overall title. That's who I would try to vote off if both were on the block. She's just too nice and that kind of thing will also make her a huge target.

Lawon is a floater who hasn't really stepped up yet. I don't think he can win the entire competition unless he starts winning events in the short term. I just don't see him as a threat to win the entire show but perhaps he will get a ticket to coast because he isn't viewed as a threat. The only problem for Lawon? Who would he beat in a vote if he did make the final two? Nobody right now.

Kalia is an interesting figure on the show but we don't really have a whole lot of information on her so far. She has been in fights with Rachel but probably wouldn't be the top target if Rachel wins a future HOH-instead it seems likely Kalia will put Rachel on the block.

Shelly seems like a floater but her hidden alliance with Jeff and Jordan could be an asset or potentially the final straw in her elimination. She is one of the reasons the returning couples held such power in the early going and there may be some resentment toward that fact.

Porsche is a bit like Shelly where she has teamed up with the returning duos. I think she is in the same boat as Shelly for now-win some competitions and prove yourself or most likely get the boot in the next few weeks.

Adam is one of the more interesting guys on the show and I think he is most likely one of the big favorites to win(if fans could vote). He's a "Big Brother" fan but I think he, too needs to win something sooner than later.

What's hard to predict about "Big Brother 13" is that many of the contestants have yet to win a competition other than the returning duos. That means the spotlight hasn't been put on these newcomers and a target has also not been cast.

What I think could happen is that Shelly, Jordan and Jeff team up and possibly add Porsche(or keep her). Daniele and Kalia desperately need to add someone to their mix. What might determine the entire game is who Adam, Lawon and the returning cast member chooses to become alliances with.
My gut feeling tells me Rachel, Lawon and Porsche have very little chance to win the overall title.
Daniele is a person who could either get booted early or go the distance from this point forward.
I think whoever stays between Jeff and Jordan has a great opportunity for the final four-if they aren't put on the block soon. I also think Adam and Shelly have a good footing on what could be a final four run.

My final four, not considering who might come back to the house, would be Jeff, Daniele, Adam and Shelly. Depending on who wins the final "Big Brother 13" competitions, I think it could be a final two of Jeff and Shelly or Daniele and Adam. I think Adam is eventually going to team up with someone who can win competitions-the only problem is he wouldn't want to take Daniele with her because she might get some serious votes. Adam would need to take Shelly to win it all and since he is a "Big Brother" fan I think that's his best bet. Jeff would love to take Shelly because he would win the overall competition. Daniele would want to take Adam or Shelly because her win total would be significantly better-unless something changes.

What I think will happen is that Jeff(or Jordan) takes Shelly to the final two. Jeff wins the competition because he picked up more individual wins. What I'd like to see happen is that Adam wins big competitions down the stretch and takes Daniele to the finale(and that's where he wins).

So with that in mind, here are my "Big Brother 13" odds entering this week.
Jeff is a 3-1 favorite. Daniele is 4-1, Adam is 5-1 while Shelly is 6-1. The rest of the best includes Jordan also at 6-1, the returning player at 7-1, Porsche 9-1, Lawon 10-1 and Rachel 14-1.
The dynamics will change quickly once someone comes back-so it's very hard to make predictions with the unknown still quite unknown. Still, it should be fun to watch down the stretch. Since Jeff is a large favorite, expect the other contestants to try to boot him off at least once in the next few weeks. Still, I think they'll opt to gun for Jordan-because everyone seems to like her. Somebody has to catch on that while she is nice-that's also her game play. That would leave Jeff with an opportunity to win it all.
Only time will tell as we continue to watch "Big Brother 13" unfold.

**UPDATE**
Brendon returned to the household giving the returning duos of a greater chance to win it all.
Lawon is out after sacrificing himself for the possibility of winning the twist(didn't see that one coming).
I think Shelly has moved ahead of Adam now at 5-1(with Adam slipping to 6-1). Daniele is also in trouble unless she can rally the troups against the evil pair of duos(evil to her anyway). Jordan moves back up to a 5-1. I stil consider Brendon a 7-1 and Rachel might move up to a 12-1 thanks to part of her alliance returning.
