'Big Brother' 2010 Season 12 Spoilers: September 1: Lane's Loyalty Lies Wtih the Brigade- or Britney?
Who Won the 'Big Brother 12' Week 8 Power of Veto?
But first, Enzo finally sheds his penguin costume and Ragan spends the week studying up for the upcoming POV. He memorizes the faces on the wall photos, stats, POV winners, etc. Dude has watched a lot of Big Brother and he suspects a composite competition may be coming up. Ragan feels like he's Rocky Balboa, all alone and training for the fight.
Week 8 Power of Veto Competition
The host of the Week 8 POV competition is "Otev the Broadway Clam", a big beast who resembles the Hamburglar. There's a swampy mess with CDs floating in it. The houseguests must answer questions that involve a combination of houseguest's names. The first person to bring the most correct CDs up to the shell wins.
Lane is quickly knocked out, followed by Hayden and Britney. The worst possible scenario has come true: Enzo and Ragan- the two nominated houseguests- are vying for the POV win.
After a Superman (or should I say Supermeow) dive, Enzo edges Ragan out for the final CD and wins the Power of Veto. Yep, in Week 8 now the Meow Meow Starts To Play. Ragan does not take it like a man. The not-so-humble Enzo contemplates wearing his Veto around his neck and boasts, "Papa got the bling bling."
Pandora's Box #4: The Punishments
In case you missed it- and you're lucky if you did- the once-elusive Pandora's Box made another appearance this week. That's 4 weeks in a row in case you're keeping track. Expect the expected.
Lane of course opened the box and received envelopes of money worth a whopping $91.17. In exchange, the houseguests have to endure 3 punishments.
The first punishment is that all of the silverware and cups are removed from the house. Does Meow Meow even know the difference?
For their next punishment, the houseguests have to wear sock puppets on their hands- and use them when they speak for the next 12 hours. Is this ridiculous or what? I think these punishments are worse for the viewers than the contestants.
Finally, the HG's have to be dancing queens. That's right, for 12 hours it's time to get up and dance whenever the piped-in elevator music comes on. Perhaps some of these guys will nab a spot on Dancing With the Stars after this reality gig is up.
POV Ceremony
At the Veto ceremony, Enzo proudly takes himself off the block. So Lane goes and puts his boy Hayden up in Enzo's place. That's right, Lane has put 2 Brigade members up on the block this week. While the target is Ragan, it's still a telling move. Britney sits pretty like a Southern princess and without getting into Lane's head, one has to wonder who he is more loyal to- the Brigade or Britney, his side alliance. Lane quickly clears that up for us: he wants to take Britney to the final 2. Bye bye Brigade!
