Big Brother 8 - Father and Daughter Final Two

Big Brother history has been made this year. Big Brothers twist of 'rivals' in the house, in this case, the father and daughter who have not spoken for 2 years are the final two house guests. The Donatos. I picked Evel Dick as my favorite from day one, because he was different, He's the oldest Houseguest this year, and has a rock and roll persona. Evel Dick turned out to be controversial on the show, why anyone is surprised by that baffles me. Part of his strategy was to verbally upset some of the house guests to rattle them up, especially before important competitions, Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, Evel Dick also was very social in the house, he wasn't evil 100% of the time. Evel Dick also cooked, cleaned and did laundry - which I found amusing considering his image of the tattooed rocker type,

Daniele Donato, who turned 21 in the house, won vital competitions, especially Power of Veto. She did good in competitions, but failed in the social part of the game and was known a major whiner across fan boards allover the Internet. She was happy when either of them won, and really whiny when they didn't.

Now it's the final two, she's against her Dad for the main prize, Will they just share the money? Gifts are not against the policy, while out-right agreeing to split the final prize is, so they might split it. It really doesn't matter to me. While I was happy that both Donatos made it to final 2, I want Evel Dick to win,. I think he deserves the bragging rights of being the winner of BB8. He will be the oldest winner. He will be the first winner part of a twist. He will be the most unconventional winner. Evel Dick created a new strategy in this game. In the past we have seen House guest just repeat past strategies, like flying under the radar, which is boring to watch season after season. I'm not saying I want to see anyone verbally attack house guest in future seasons, I'm saying at least, as a viewer we saw something new. It was all game play, and this reality show is a game. His attacks did not come out of nowhere, he planned them. One example was when both him and Daniele were on the block to be evicted, his strategy was to get everyone to hate him so they'd evict him over his daughter.

Another season of Big Brother ends. Another summer of watching people play a game for $500,000 is over. First season that my choice to win, has won (either $50,000 for second place, or the whole 1/2 million).
