Where We Stand
HoH: Amanda and Alex
Nominated for Eviction: Parker/Jen and Ryan/Allison
Guess Who's Back???
Oh big brother. Someone ALWAYS seems to end up coming back. Apparently Neil had to go home to attend to some personal issues, so Big Brother told Joshuah he could pick one of the two house guests that have already been eliminated. He went with Sharon. Says Joshuah: Now I'm a straight man with a hot wife.
Cross team Relations
Coming into episode 4, I felt there were two couples that had a chance at something more. One was the aforementioned Neil and Joshuah, but that is no more. The other was Alex and Amanda who seemed to be on the fast track to love. Unfortunately, being locked in the confines of the Big Brother house has seemed to taken it's toll on the young couple. But don't worry, the Big Brother house isn't lacking romance elsewhere. Amanda and Parker came together over a steamy backrub, and seem to have feelings for each other. Alex has also told Amanda he likes her, but also stated that if she won't be physical with him, he doesn't think she should be physical with anyone else. It sounds creepy, and Amanda is acting like it is, but I actually think it is kind of cute (in a creepy sort of way.) You also know of Ryan and Jen, who are clearly crossing team lines for each other, and you have the curious combination of Sheila and Allison.
Secret Partners and Conspiracy Theories
Sheila and Allison decided in episode three that they were going to act as though there were a couple outside of the house (they even made up an adopted child.) Then in a conversation this week, they decided to keep their fictional relationship a secret (which is pretty much the dumbest thing I have ever heard.) it is too late though, because last week they told Joshuah and Chelsia. Secrets don't hold too well in the Big Brother house. Chelsia told James, who admitted that it made sense. James then convinces himself that there are more couples in the house. So what does he do? Searches for clues in the house, of course. Let's start with the hamster cage (I'm not making this up!) He sees some little thing in the cage that has four colors, and decides the most logical explanation for this is that there are four secret teams in the house. He mentions this in passing to Alex (but does not reveal his knowledge of Sheila and Allison, which isn't even real knowledge but he doesn't know that), who immediately suspects Parker and Amanda. He mentions this to a few people and a massive amount of drama spills all over the house. No one really knows what to think at this point. Amanda is really mad that Alex could think that, and the rift between them grows (although, at this point with all these fickle kids, I wouldn't be surprised if they fell in love again next week.)
Power of Veto Competition
Big Brother is only allowing four teams to compete: HoH, the two nominated couples, and then one couple that is selected randomly from a bag. Matt and Nat win that one. They are joined by Amanda and Alex, Parker and Jen, and Ryan and Allison.
Big Brother breaks out the torture devices for this one. Each team straps one member (all the girls) to a large round spinning wheel, and the object is for the guys to spin the wheel three hundred times. The girls will be holding a button down as they spin, and if they let go the counter stops there. Allison loses her grip on the button first. Then Amanda lets go on purpose, but she plays it like it was an accident. Her reasoning is that she doesn't want her team to appear to strong. In the end, Matt and Nat win the Power of Veto.
I Promise You Are Safe (Not Really Though)
After Matt repeatedly told Parker (before AND after he won Power of Veto) that he would save him if he had the chance, the Power of Veto ended up being used on no one. Says Matt: I have to look out for numero uno.
Quick Hits
-Quote of the show: "It will take like 20 seconds." Ryan to Jen about wanting to sneak off into the bathroom to satisfy some needs
-Jen is a beast during the Veto competition. Really, it's either really sexy or really scary. Go Parker! Don't stop. You have to go! Go! Honestly, I don't know how Ryan deals with her.
-My new favorite person in the house is Alex. Just thought you may like to know.
Until next episode...
